Who am I?

I'm Tiara, a writer that dwells within dystopian futurism with my new debut release, The First Order: Chosen. I've been writing professionally for 15 years and creatively for even longer. After self-publishing my first ever novel, I can officially say I've accomplished my childhood dream.

What's this blog about?

I'd like to use this blog to share things about myself, what I've learned as a self-published author, and industry insights from a marketing perspective. I'd also love to use it as a platform to start building a community of TFO fans from around the world.

What is The First Order: Chosen?

The First Order: Chosen is the type of book I wish I could have read as someone who's a massive fan of sci-fi and dystopian thrillers with a hint of romance and fantasy. We follow the lives of Cavill Dandridge and Atlas Rivers as they encounter an impending apocalypse, the second in humanity's existence.

A governing body of otherworldly beings threaten to revoke a treaty made with those living in the only habitable continent on Earth for seemingly unknown reasons. It's up to Cavill to decide whether the insurmountable sacrifices are worth it, or if his post-apocalyptic world is fated to doom as it is. Through both Atlas Rivers' and Cavill Dandridge's eyes, you'll venture into an impossible hero's journey with a troubled, reluctant protagonist. They encounter the very things nightmares fear, with gripping twists and surprises that make you want to journey into each chapter.

Life in Imperium was simple, perfect, even, until we learned that what the Others giveth, the Others can taketh away.

There are no words to express just how excited I am to share the phenomenal world of Imperium and its continent with readers much like yourself. Hearing about how much you all love the adventures of Cavill, Atlas, and their band of misfits encourages me to push forward and create even more daunting trials for the next two novels in the series. If there's one thing to take away from the experiences within these pages it's that nothing is too challenging and no hill is too steep to overcome.
